I Love FDL
THE FONDY FRONTLINE

When I stopped into Shea Avenue Boutique on North Main Street, I was instantly met with that perfect small town boutique vibe, soft music, colorful racks, and the smiling face of owner Aggie Mae. After leaving Wisconsin during Covid to focus on family, Aggie found her way back home and back into the fashion world. Now, her boutique is a bright spot downtown, offering women’s clothing in all sizes, fun accessories, and a reminder that style should be about confidence, comfort, and joy.
I stopped into Shea Avenue Boutique the other day, right at 191 North Main Street in downtown Fond du Lac. The moment I walked in, I was met with that perfect boutique vibe, soft music playing in the background, racks filled with colorful pieces, and the kind of energy that just makes you feel good to be there. The owner, Aggie Mae, greeted me with a smile that tells you she truly loves what she does.

Aggie’s story is one that really hits home. After Covid, she left Wisconsin to live on a ranch in North Dakota, stepping away from her full time job managing a boutique so she could spend more time with her daughter, Raelyn. But as she puts it, she missed having her own income, and she missed the fashion world. So she took the leap. What started with vendor shows and live sales online eventually brought her back home to Fond du Lac, where she’s now celebrating over a year at her brick and mortar location (and four years total in business).
Inside her shop, you’ll find women’s clothing from sizes small to 3X, along with accessories and a touch of home décor. What I love is that there’s no one “style.” Instead, Aggie fills her boutique with the kind of variety that reminds you fashion should be fun! You’ll see everything from cozy cardigans to bold floral tops to perfectly distressed jeans. She even had a few tee shirts for sale that read “Home is where my chickens are,” which hit home for me personally. I love chickens, so I had to laugh and appreciate those shirts. Her motto is: wear what you like, not what everyone else is buzzing about.
If you’re downtown, near Walgreens on North Main, stop in to browse, chat, and shop local. Whether you’re looking for something cute and casual or stylish and bold, Shea Avenue Boutique is one of those local gems that truly deserves to be on your MUST visit list.
