Growing up in Fond du Lac, there were certain places that were just part of life. Westside Lanes and Karl Ray Lanes are two that immediately come to mind. Then there was Forest Mall. Going to the mall was actually an event back then. Dillinger's is another name that probably brings back some memories for a lot of people.

From an Empty Lot to a Forever Home: Habitat for Humanity Completes 36th House in Fond du Lac
Back in April, I met with Kathy Strong Langolf, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Fond du Lac County, at 467 Walker Street in Fond du Lac. At the time, there wasn’t much to see. It was an empty lot where a floral shop once stood.
