Hi, I’m Shane Hernandez, just a regular guy from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin who happens to build websites for a living through my company, Simply Fast Websites. I grew up in a time when shopping local was the norm. Some of my best memories were tagging along with my mom, aunts, and uncles to visit local stores around town.
But things have changed. Technology and convenience have taken over, and small, brick-and-mortar shops are struggling to keep up. E-commerce websites are expensive and complicated for most shop owners, and with 2-day shipping and big-box stores offering everything under the sun, it’s easy to forget about the businesses right in our backyard.
That’s why I created LoveULocal, to give small, local stores a real fighting chance. Our mission is simple: bring all of your favorite hometown shops into one easy-to-use app so people can explore what their community has to offer.
